video monitor question

If you have a video monitor, at what age do you think you'll take it out of LO's room?

Re: video monitor question

  • Not until he's like 18. haha just kidding.  Probably when he starts changing his clothes on his own/wants his own privacy.

  • ill keep it for a while. dont always have to use the video its just really nice to have!
  • My DD is over 2 and there is no way we'll stop using it anytime soon.  I always thought it was so great using it when she was a baby, but it's even more useful now!  Best baby item ever I think, I couldn't live without mine!
  • I keep joking that it will be most useful when she's old enough to have friends and boys in her room!  :)  In all seriousness, probably not until she's two or three.
  • I have no idea...hadn't thought that far ahead yet.

I may keep it for quite a long time and just not use the video unless it's the middle of the night and I need to decide whether or not to go into the room.  I never want to go in there if I don't need to, I don't want to startle him.

I don't even know how long people "usually" keep their monitors for.  I really just plan to play it by ear.
