Babies: 3 - 6 Months

What time do you get up in the morning?

Do you get up before LO, to have some time to yourself in the morning?  Even just a few minutes for coffee, shower, whatever?

I really like the idea of doing that, but I find myself sleeping until the last possible minute, when DS wants up too.  This is usually around 7:30 or 8.

  • I always have great intentions to do this but when the morning rolls around I just can't drag myself out of bed before I have to!

Usually anytime from 7:30 to 9

  • NO WAY would I get up before him, lol.  Mine goes to sleep about 9pm so mommy has her time after... he'll sleep until 7 or 8 and I get up when he just won't sit still anymore.  Of course, I turn all the lights on and he starts playing in his crib so I get to go make coffee and a bottle before I even get him out.  I guess I'm lucky though...
  • I've been getting up with DD at 5:30am since day 1 :)

I take a shower the night before, and she sits in the bathroom with me and plays with her bath toys on the floor while I get ready for work.

  • I'm up at 5. 5:15 at the latest. I pump, shower and get everything ready before I get DS into his carseat. I sometimes have time for coffee on the go.

  • DD starts waking at 5am, we bring her to bed with us then we all sleep until 7-730. Starting tomorrow though, when I go back to work PT, I'll have to get up before DD does. :( It's gonna be rough.

  • DS gets up for the first time around 5am...I usually get him to sleep for 2 more hours in his swing.  I have every intention of getting up and being productive, but I end up taking a shower and going back to bed.  I hope to get more done once we both STTN...

  • now that i've dropped the morning pumping session & am only down to the late night one, my alarm goes off at 6:30, and i have to be in the shower by 6:45 in order to get to work at 7:30.  DH doesn't have to be at work until 8:30 so he feeds LO after i'm already gone.
  • DS gets me up every morning.  He wakes up anytime between 6-7:30.  He's a very easy, happy baby in the morning, though.  He'll play by himself while I drink my coffee, check my e-mail, watch the morning news etc.  He then takes a nap at 9:00 and that's when I shower and get ready for the day.

  • Whenever DD gets up for a bottle, anywhere from 4:30-6.  Then she goes back to bed while I get ready for work, get DS up and ready, then get DD back up and ready and off we go!
