Is a glider/rocker really necessary?
How many are not getting one?
I really haven?t even started to think about registering for anything yet but I see all these posts for them asking for opinions?so was wondering if I need to look into one?
Thanks,

Re: Is a glider/rocker really necessary?
I am having baby 3, and hopefully this time around I will get a rocker (or probably a leather recliner we can use in the living room later) I survived two babies without one, I just took babies to my living room to nurse at night, and then back to their bed.
You don't **need** to have one, no. It's really your own personal preference. If you don't like rockers, don't worry about getting one since you probably won't use it.
For me, I loooooove to rock (even my chair at work rocks!). I felt it would also be a soothing motion for the baby.

I posted this same question on the 0-3 board as I don't really like them and would rather not spend the $. Thought I'd share with you the responses, here is the link to my post:
