Are all babies born with the same eye color? How long does it take to change into what it really will be? Google had tons of different answers and thought I would go straight to the source. Thanks!!!
usually bluish or brownish. If they are brown, they should stay that color. If bluish (or grayish), they can eventually be any color. They will more than likely be brown if either parent has brown eyes.
Permanent eye color is determined between 6 months and 1 year.
Like people say, most are born with blue or brown eyes and will get to their permanent color by 1year. That being said, I was born with eyes so dark you couldn't tell the difference between the colored part and the pupil, then they lightened to blue by a week and stayed that way till I was about 3 years old, and now I have extremely light green eyes with no blue or brown at all.
Re: baby eye color?
I remember reading somewhere that babies are born with one of three colors: Brown, blue, or gray.
Urijah's eyes are gray and we're really hoping they stay that color.
Rach was born w/blue and Call w/grey. Call's eyes are turning brown and Rach's are turning green. I dunno the official word but that is our home.

That can't be 100% true. Both DH and I have one brown eyed and one blue eyed parent and we both have blue eyes. So far, DD's eyes are blue.
Brown is dominant but you can have two brown-eyed parents who have a blue-eyed recessive gene that is not expressed (because the brown was dominant).
My dad has brown eyes and my mom has blue. My eyes are green.
Both of my sons were born with dark, dark brown eyes (like their dad).
