Bonus side of cancelling my vacation

My dad's surgery won't be until Saturday as it turns out. He's on blood thinner meds, so they want those out of his system before opening him up. S and I were supposed to leave for Australia for 2 weeks on Saturday.

While that's not happening any more, on the bonus side I won't have to feel self-conscious walking around in a bathing suit (it's their summer right now) since there's some more weight I need to loose :)

I'm also really thankful we spent those extra $200 and got trip insurance.

Thank you all, also, very much for your thoughts about my dad. It means a lot!

    Then when your dad gets better, you ALL can take a trip to Australia and have a wonderful time.

    Is he in the hospital until the surgery or he is resting at home?

    I missed the post about your dad, so I wanted to say my thought and prayers are with your family, particularly your dad.

    I also am sending "feel good about bathing suit body" dust to you for when you do get to go to Australia.

    I missed the post about your dad but I'll be sending good thoughts his way on Saturday.  Thank goodness for trip insurance, as I was reading I was thinking that I really hoped you had it since that's a big trip.
