That I have a 25 pound baby? Kidding of course. I just dont know how the hell I have gained 25 lbs. I can honestly say I dont think I have put that much fat all around. Everyone tells me I am all belly. And all of my pre preg clothes fit in the thighs and butt (just not in the waist) Is it possible that the 25 pound is mostly fluid?

Re: Is it possible?
Everyone gains differently. I gained 50lbs with DD and she was born 5 weeks early. God only knows how much more I would have gained if I went full-term. Regardless of the ridiculous weight gain, I was still able to fit into my pre-pregnancy pants (without buttoning) during my entire pregnancy and dropped all the weight by 6 months post-partum. My weight gain is pretty similar this time around, although I am putting more weight into my thighs this time around. . .:
I'm not sure what the actual numbers are, but I'm sure you could google.
There's the weight of the actual baby, the placenta weighs x amt., the fluid, the uterus, etc. it all adds up. And then what will be different for each person is water retention, etc. And then of course the actual weight gain.
When I was pregnant with my DD I gained about 26 pounds. I remember my doctor telling me that when I left the hospital I would weigh a lot less, but that my belly might not look like I had lost a lot of that weight. So I would imagine quite a bit of 25 pounds is just "stuff" and baby. However, and this is not meant to make you feel bad at all!!!, you've got about 10 weeks left I think, and at this point you'll probably gain about a pound a week. So by the time you're done, it will be a bit more than just fluid and baby, but still within the normal range doctors recommend gaining.
Yes I figure that I will gain about 10+ more pounds at the rate I am going. I guess all I can do is continue to eat healthy!
