Bassinet. Well, I like the co-sleeper bassinets (saw them at Target) - They seem very universal. But I plan to BF, so the baby will stay with me every night in bedroom.
We will have a crib in the nursery though. For all intents and purposes
With DS, the plan was to have him in the crib from day 1. However, he had other plans! He would ONLY sleep while being held, so for like 6 weeks I slept on the couch holding him on my chest.
I hope DD is an easy sleeper and will let me use the crib from the get-go!
Bassinet at night but crib during the day. Even though baby's room isn't far from ours, with my luck I'd fall down the stairs in the middle of the night on the way to feed baby. So, our room it is.
We set up the crib in our room. We plan on converting our guest room into a nursery eventually. But for now it just makes sense to put it in our room. So I guess my answer in both
Bassinet. But only b/c we got it for free from my SIL. Otherwise, it would be crib from day one. (Also, if we ever have a second child while the first is still in the crib, I'd like to have something for the new baby to sleep in, lol.)
Bassinet for the initial few weeks, then on to the crib. I just need to get used to BFing in the beginning, and I think it will be easier with baby close by...
Our plan is crib, but LO may have other plans....lol. DD was in her crib from day 1 but that was because our room in that house was so small I could have killed myself over her bassinet.
My plan is to have baby in the cradle (DHs parents are sending us the cradle that was handmade for DH) until he/she begins sleeping through the night. Then he/she will move to the crib.
PNP in our room (the smaller version). I'm planning on breastfeeding, so it will just be easier. Also, it lowers the risk of SIDS. Ours is the only room with a/c too, so that will be better for baby during the summer when the nursery gets hot. Lastly, baby was in my body for 9 months, so a separate room is a big jump from that after that amount of closeness. I'd rather keep him close.
bassinet for the 1st 3 months just like w/DD. Since I'll be BFing again I just find it easier
ditto this- but we had DD in the bassinet for the first 4 months- also FWIW she started STTN @ 6 weeks, but for me nursing in bed was much easier, more relaxing than sitting up in a glider. There were many wonderful mornings where she and I would stay in bed until 10ish!
In the room with us. We will probably start him/her in the bassinet and then co-sleep after the first waking. Did this with dd and it worked great and I never really felt sleep deprived.
Re: Will you have LO in crib from day one?

Crib...we have no room in our room for anything else.

is there an option C?
DD had such bad acid relfex that she slept in her swing for the first 8 months.
We are open to doing that again if need be, if not we will use the crib but we have a daybed in the nursery I will use
We're doing a bassinet too for breastfeeding purposes.
this. Plus its scary not being close to baby in the beginning. I panicked when we finally moved him bc I loved having him close.

Crib. I plan on pumping exclusively, but I still think I will want my own space.

This is what we are doing as well, plan on crib during the day!
