2 positives, then a negative - WTF????

so i was due to get AF last thursday.  i waited until saturday and got a positive on a digital test. on monday i scheduled a dr. appointment (for today) and took another digital on monday evening and got another positive.

i get to the dr. and they tell me their test came up negative - anyone have this happen before?  they drew blood to truly confirm whether or not i'm pregnant, but the wait is KILLING me!

    I haven't done the research on it, but maybe a chemical pregnancy? I would get some info on it...

    Unfortunately it does sound like a chemical pregnancy.  I hope the b/w reveals otherwise though.  good luck

    My guess would be a CP too.  But I'm not sure.  Good luck!

    It could be a chemical pregnancy (which is a very early miscarriage) or the test they used wasn't as sensitive or your urine was diluted, etc.

    Good luck, I hope the blood test comes back positive.

    Like the others have said, it may be a chemical pregnancy.  I really hope the blood test turns up positive.  Good luck.
    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.

    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    I'm sorry, I hope this ends differently for you. This is how my CP went - three days of positive tests and then a negative and then b/w came back negative as well.

    Again, I so hope your ending is different. Good luck.

    I don't know if you are going to read this, but that happened to me. The doctors office said that their tests were less sensitive the the hpts; it doesn't confirm a pregnancy until it is a bit further along. And I had peed not long before my apt, so I think the amount of hormone was diluted.

    Anyway, I tested the next day and got a BFP at home again. I went back to the doc's office a few days later and I got a BFP there too.
