Babies: 9 - 12 Months

What does your LO wear to bed?

It is starting to get a lot colder at night.  Right now she only wears a sleeper. I don't want to put blankets in her crib for at least a couple more months.  When she was a newborn she slept in a sleeper and a sleepsack.  Do they even make sleepsacks in 18 months? Just curious as to what others do to keep their baby warm at night.  TIA.

Re: What does your LO wear to bed?

  • DD sleeps in a sleeper and a sleep sack.  I got the sleep sack at TJMaxx for $7.99 and I love it because unlike the Halo ones, it has sleeves so it's super warm.  It came in a package and was located with the blankets.  I think it will fit her till she's about a year.  We keep our house fairly cool, so sometimes I also put a crocheted blanket over her.  Flame if you must, but she's slept with this blanket since the day she was born.  It has holes, so in my opinion, the risk of suffocation is very minimal.  I also have a video monitor and check her frequently.  GL!

  • He just sleeps in a sleeper.

They do make sleep sacks in larger sizes.

  • DS sleeps in footed pjs and a sleep sack.  I might start putting him in fleece pjs or the fleece sleep sack soon as it gets colder, but he seems warm enough.
  • He wears a onesie, a sleeper and then sleeps in a sleepsack. They sell them for up to 3 years old here and then they go to sleep sack duvets which are really just sleeping bags, I guess.

They might sell them in the US.

  • Shane hates the sleep sacks, so I just put him to bed in fleece footies (I get them from the children's place). His room is also the warmes of the bedrooms because of the layout of the radiators, so we don't have to worry too much about him getting cold. I the rest of the house is around 69, his room is typically 74.

  • DS wears either a woolen sleeper, or cotton pj's with a sleep sack (Babys R US has 18mo) I also have an angora sleep sack.

  • Just a onsie and a sleeper, and then cover her up with a nice warm blanket!!! My LO loves her blankets!! I would say your lo is old enough for a blanket!
  • footed PJs with a woombie sleep sack - hands are enclosed so that they don't get cold.
