I know you MoMs have been through this/are going through it still

Having 2 is soo tiresome and frustrating and hard and overwhelming and wonderful and joyful and awesome.  But this weekend they have really overwhelmed me and I am just soo...ahhh.  Addison is so much needier than Kaylee.  I swear everytime Kaylee is getting attention Addison can wake up from a sound sleep and suddenly need attention herself, therefore I feel like there is always a baby crying unless they're asleep or Addison is getting attention.  They're getting so much bigger so I have a hard time tending to them at the same time and it's so frustrating!  I am fearful of when they get even bigger and REALLY take over.  I love them sooo much though and wouldn't trade them for anything.  They amaze me everyday.  Please just send me the encouragement I know only you ladies know how to give.

  • <<hugs>> mama!

The first 3-4 months are the hardest and yes it gets better. Just make sure that you take care of you as well. Nap when they nap. I know they don't really have a schedule now but try and follow the same routine for both to help getting them in the same schedule so you can rest a little. ?

  • (((HUGS))) You are in the worst phase now. It's cliche, but it really does get better!!

We also have one baby who has almost always been more high-maintenance (though they change roles sometimes ;)) and it is tough trying to juggle both babies' needs. I think you just have to have realistic expectations of yourself.

  • Hang in  there. The point you are at is so freaking hard. Quite honestly, I wouldn't live it again for anything. BUT -- one of these days you will get to the point where you say "I am SO GLAD I have twins!" They just get more and more fun. There are always new challenges and there always will be, but trust me. Especially once you start sleeping again, you will love it. :)

     Big huge hugs.

  • Now that they are getting bigger can you wear the needier one?  I almost always was wearing 1 baby or the other in my Moby when they were small.  It allowed me to have my hands free and tend to the other.  I could even feed the other one that I wasn't wearing.  You really are in the thick of it... it will get better.  Our LO that was the needier one as an infant has turned in to the more calm/easy going one.  It's so interesting to see the changes they go through.
