Brand of Breast Pump?

Is anyone using a breast pump other than a Medele? Is so, which brand, and what do you like about it?

I am trying to choose a breast pump but I don't have the money to spend on a Medela. I have been looking through reviews online and it seems no matter which brand they all have the same bad comments (it broke after a short amount of time, it hurt, etc).

I use Medela so that doesn't help...but when I was in my BF class the gal teaching it recommended only getting a breast pump from a company that ONLY makes breast pumps not other baby gear...they tend to be better because all of their focus is on making a breast pump not a 100 other things...hope that helps.

Are you planning on becoming a EBFer? I ask because I only pumped for the first month to get my supply up so it was cheaper for me to rent from the hospital. It worked better for me as well. I had a Medela with my first and could not pump worth a poo. Tried 3 other pumps woth the same result. This time to make sure I had enough to feed twins I rented the hospital pump and it was heaven! Before I was geting less them a oz per pump and with the hospital pump (the symphony (sp)) I got about 6 to 7oz each time.

I have the lansinoh double electric pump and so far, so good. I'm an EP'er and pump about 5 times per day for 20 mins each session and get at least 7 ounces each session.

lansinoh here as well. I don;t get quite as much but I think I need a smaller flange insert. So I am going to pick one up and see if that helps at all. I use it to pump at work and whenever DS get s a bottle for one reason or another.
