You know, you can make your own frozen waffles!

Big Smile

Seriously, though.  I'm not a huge fan of the frozen ones, and I definitely don't care to make waffles and pancakes every day.  So I just make a huge batch of homemade, let them cool, lay flat on a cookie sheet and freeze them, then I use my food saver to package them in small amounts to keep in the freezer.  You can warm them back up in the the microwave, toaster (if they are thin enough) or oven.

Same goes for french toast.

Not like this is an original idea, but just thought I'd mention it.

  • That's what I do with pancakes.  I make double batches (and triple) and then freeze them all.  Zap them in the microwave for the girls most mornings and it's a quick and easy, hot breakfast.

  • Your post is so timely! We just had waffles for breakfast this morning and the leftovers are in the fridge, but I think I'm going to pop in them in the freezer now.

Only the pre-processed ones!  Home-made are yummy!

  • That is what I do.  DS loves waffles, but the Kashi ones cost an arm and a leg (and we stick with whole wheat as much as possible).

I make a quadruple batch once a month and freeze them in gallon ziplock bags.  I need to start doing it with french toast too.
