Ahhh the holidays. So I'm gearing up for the dreaded week long inlaw Thanksgiving visit. During their last visit, I was informed that I have to change laundry detergents. MIL gets itchy. I was also informed that regular cotton sheets are not acceptable. I had to buy flannels for the guest room this weekend. And I have never seen human use as many towels as they do. The both shower 2x a day every day. Each shower is a fresh towel, fresh wash cloth and fresh hand towel. So yes..... 12 towels, wash cloths and hand towels every 24 hours for 2 people.....I can't wait.

Re: SO Linens....Inlaw biitch
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.....
My goodness.. they should be ashamed of themselves.. giving you all that extra work.. what ever happened to being a gracious guest??
Oh I like the way you think.
Fo sure! I would try to find the cheapest, itchiest detergent available!
They did the last time. That's how they brought up the topic.
I think that would be the last straw...I would tell them they can move themselves to the hotel! You're not their maid and they should have to deal with your stuff if they're gonna be in your house.
Ditto this, a hotel can wash their linens and towels everyday.

Unbelievable! They brought their own sheets last time they came to visit, so this time they made you go buy sheets for them?? How rude.
that would push me over the edge too. wtf!? what gives them such a sense of entitlement?!
Actually, watching MIL meticulously pick every cat hair off her black paints kind of makes their stay more fun for me.
I would tell them...
1) If they are going to biitch about the sheets they need to bring their own or buy what they want for you to keep there for them.
2) If they use that many towels they should do their own damn laundry and bring their own detergent.
I will call the Waaaahmbulance for them if you would like
I know, I couldn't imagine my inlaws staying for a week, or anyone for that matter.
I guess I can understand accommodating certain things like allergies to food, detergents, etc. but some of those demands are just insane. Good luck to you!
My MIL knows damn well that when she and my step-FIL and DH's 2 sisters (12 and 14) that they are all to clean up after themselves. I love having them here, but this isnt the Hilton!
Ha! That's true. Try to leave as many cat/dog hairs on all the furniture as possible. I would LOVE to watch that with you.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Your cat might want to sleep in the guest room during their stay. I think it's time to make them miserable so they quit staying with you.
LOL

MIL would break down and cry right there on the spot if he said anything
Bwahahaha!! That would be GREAT!!!
Funny thing is the guest room is her room she sleeps on the guest bed every night. She sits outside the door the whole time they're here... It's like she knows and she's just waiting for them to leave.
