Let's talk leaky boobs.

What do I need to be ready for leakage? I have 4 pairs of AFFF milkmaids (thx glad!). Do I need more? Some disposables for just in case? Or is 4 plenty?

How often will I be changing these? I just want to be ready for this.

  • I did better with 6 sets than 4. Depends on how often you're doing laundry.

  • I have 5 and still run out from time to time.

  • you'll want more. i changed mine every 2-4 hours at night in the beginning (of course, everyone is different--you may not leak very much at all. so wait and see!). if you do decide to go with disposables, nature babycare makes some. they are bulky but good for nighttime. i used them on the occasion that all of my others were in the wash.
  • I'm not a heavy leaker... just a little when he's nursing from the other side.  I have 3 pairs of AFFFs and wear one pair a day (just change them when I shower).  I didn't want to get so many that if I didn't like them I was stuck with them, but enough so that if I liked them, I had enough to squeak by for a bit.  I also have a box of disposable Lansinohs.  I hate them, but have them on today because my AFFFs are in the hamper.

  • 6 though earlier on I may have wanted more...

  • I would wait and see.  I'm not a leaker and have 3 pairs of nice nursing pads that I never really used.

  • i would get a box of disposables for back up until you determine what you need.  i'm good with 6 :)
  • I have NEVER leaked.  I would definitely wait to be sure that you are a leaker before you buy.
