My stupid BFing questions

I haven't read a ton on BF yet but I keep thinking about the same questions.  The plan is to BF but I would like to pump when I can so that K can give a bottle and have a bonding experience as well as to have some extra BM stored for times when I might be out and K needs to do a bottle.

When I go back to work I can continue to BF as the baby will just be down the hall.  So if  BFing goes well and the baby and I have a regular schedule, when would I pump? Do you pump between feedings? And if you do that is there enough milk when it's time to feed?

I'm sure books can answer my questions but this has been on my mind a week or so.  TIA ladies!

    I think the books recommend pumping after a feeding.  But I have found that I can only really get any milk if I pump one side while nursing on the other side.  I think this is one of those things that varies from person to person and is just trial and error when the time comes!

    Your body will continue to supply milk if you/DC are demanding it.  If you keep to a pumping schedule, you'll be able to pump between feedings or however works best for you (as cutemin said - after, during, whenever)

    You'll be fullest in the morning, so there is a great chance that pumping after you feed first thing in the morning will give you a good amount, or you can pump one side while nursing on the other.

    I pump one side and nurse off the other first thing in the morning. You're fullest then so if she eats off of one side, it's more than enough for her so I pump the other side to empty it-I have quite a good stash from doing that!

    Ditto what someone said about mornings. Be prepared to wake up with rock hard, sometimes leaky boobs in the morning! I would feed him from one side, pump from the other. As he got an earlier bedtime and I was building a stash I would pump before I fell asleep. I would give him his last feeding at like 7:30/8 then pump at like 11:30.

    I would pump in the morning on one side while DS nursed on the other. In the daytime he would nurse every 2-3 hours, so at night when he would sleep 4 (that was best case scenerio) I would be full on one side and engorged on the other. I pumped the engorged side.
