1st Trimester

When did you start feeling pregnant?

Granted, I'm barely even 5 weeks, but other than being tired all the time, I don't really feel like there's a baby in there!  Surprise

I have one of those jobs where I bust my butt for 12 hours, then come home and crash, so I can justify that feeling tired thing.  But I haven't felt any cramping or pulling or anything, no m/s yet, no getting up to pee a thousand times a day, no nasty bloat.  None of that.

I'm a planner (I think why this surprise threw me off so much!) so I'd like to have an idea of when I can start to expect these things!

Re: When did you start feeling pregnant?

  • It all hit me at 6 weeks!  I felt great until then! lol

  • 18 weeks. I didn't really have an symptoms, so I didn't really feel pregnant until I started feeling movement.
  • Every lady is different, so maybe you'll luck out and not get any of the nasty symptoms!

    For me:

fatigue started right away (in my 3rd week)

cramping started late in the 4th week

Bloat started at the end of the day during 4th week also

m/s started the 4th week and I swear it gets worse every day. It is VERY bad right now.

Sore boobs started in the last few days (6 weeks)

No bleeding (exception implantation spotting), no skin issues, no heartburn, no constipation, etc. I only have the symptoms I listed.

  • I got serious m/s just before 6 weeks & still have it so that's when I started feeling pregnant.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.
  • I think of all the things you're talking about (m/s, bloat, pulling/cramping) all hit me around 7 weeks.

But I truly didn't start feeling pregnant (even with all that stuff going on!) until recently when I started getting a little bump. :)

  • Week 5 - when the ms hit.  DH said that's when I stopped saying, "Can you believe we're having a baby?"

Then at week 9 when we had the ultrasound and actually saw that there was a baby in there.

Still have moments, but the sickness reminds me that something's in there!

  • I'm about as far along as you and I got fatigue right away. I also started cramping but not any worse than I would on my period. But like you, no extra peeing, no bloating or pulling. I'm sure it will all hit me soon enough!

  • I believe we're exactly the same with how far along we are! I've been tired, maybe a little lightheaded, and maybe peeing more, but I've been drinking more. I didn't drink as much yesterday and the peeing wasn't as often...which almost worried me. Trying not to read too much into it.

Other than that, I just haven't been sleeping well. Maybe a few pulls in the uterus. But no sore boobs, m/s, etc.

They always say symptoms aren't an indicator of "how pregnant you are," but I just think I'm worrying alot because when I had my miscarriage, I remember losing my boobs beforehand. :/

  • I started to feel pregnent early on because I was so tired. I took a pregnancy test only 2 days after my missed period and it was faintly positive :)
  • I started feeling pregnant even before I tested. So very early on. With my son, though, I didn't start "feeling" pregnant until around 12 weeks.

  • At about 4 weeks is when I felt pregnant and I REALLY feel pregnant now -- i feel sick all day and all night :(

  • I've been having some cramping for awhile, but the m/s just hit me really hard a few days ago. Seems like the day I hit nine weeks. Boo.

  • Still waiting.
  • Week 6 was rough. That's when m/s hit me and I was extremely exhausted. It's hard to feel pregnant now though since I don't seem to have many symptoms. Just heartburn and more heartburn, but I guess I can't complain Stick out tongue

  • I started throwing up before I even got a BFP--so I've been feeling the whole time.  The m/s is finally starting to get a little better.
  • This time, it started as soon as the sperm met the egg - an not in a good way - dizzy for 2 weeks, then cramping, then m/s & sheer exhaustion, bloating...

1st time was much different - m/s didn't start until about 9 wks.

  • First time I didn't REALLY feel pg until I felt the baby move even though I was sick in 1st tri. To me, the first tri is just being sick. When you start to feel the baby it's completely different and more 'pregnant feeling'.

  • I had cramping at around 4 weeks, that lasted for about two weeks steady, not I have it on and off. Other than that, nothing really until 6 weeks.

  • I'm 24 weeks, and I still have days where I easily forget (or question) that I'm pregnant. I'm still waiting on it to really sink in, but it probably won't until I'm on labor or something.
  • Even though I've been sick for nearly 7 weeks and have had all the commopn symptoms, I still don't feel pregnant. I think I'll feel more pregnant once it's a baby belly and once we feel movement.
  • 6 weeks is when food started becoming an issue.
  • Nausea stared at 6 weeks.  That's when I realized what this was going to be like...

  • I'm still waiting myself. I think it will hit me once I have my first U/S on Nov. 20th :o) I'll be 10weeks and 5days by then.
  • I still don't!  I often forget until something comes up I can't do (like go for drinks after work). I feel absolutely no different whatsoever (not tired, not sick, not sore, etc).  Friends who know (who have children) keep telling me to 'enjoy being pregnant' but its hard to enjoy soemthing that feels like every other day in my life Smile

  • Honestly, until mid 2nd tri I mostly just felt sick. Once I hit 22 weeks or so, I started to feel more pregnant.

  • I have had very little symptoms so far. I feel once I see my next u/s (Nov. 23rd, almost 13 weeks) and get more of a bump, then it will seem "real."

  • I guess physically I felt pregnant before my BFP because that's how I knew I should take a test! But mentally, I'm just starting to feel it now. I'm about 10 weeks and its all hitting me. I'm not as able to suck in my gut when I stand up, pants are getting tighter, I'm thinking more in terms of "baby" than "pregnancy". I'm finally feeling at ease (history of mc) and we're starting to get excited! (And m/s is starting to ease up a lot, so its easier to be happy most of the time!)
