My DD loves her Baby Einstein play mat. She also has the Baby Einstein Jumparoo that is perfect for her now at 4 months. They are both a bit expensive but totally worth it IMO.

we also have the Baby Einstein playmat, we're borrowing it from a friend. I'm not familiar with others, but love that this one has the plastic links. We are able to hang his favorite toys and rattles and now that he's grabbing at things we've made them lower with the links so he can reach.
I would NOT recommend any of the mats from Tiny Love. One of the toys hanging above DS's head broke right off and fell (thank god not on him because that would have done some damage). I have tried to contact them MANY times and have gotten no response.
My friend has a FP mat and her DS loves it.
~~~Big brother 11.29.05 & Little Brother 6.18.09~~~
DS is not at all interested in his Infantino playmat (we have the monkey one). You get what you pay for - it was $20. It's also poorly made.
I would get one with lights and music and plenty of things to grab at different angles. Plus room to roll around. His is just one toy bar and he likes to roll, but doesn't have enough room to.
