Anyone's man driving them NUTS?! -so irritated!

Okay so I am a woman, so I just know more about pregancy, babies, and things that come alone with the two. I also read more, research more, etc (than my fiance that is) For some reason, anytime I bring something up.. he laughs at me and says something to the effect of "where do you get this stuff?" Like when I told him I couldn't clean up the dog poo, eat lunch meat, drink soda... like just a bit ago when I brought up 3D/4D ultrasounds.. He said "we probably won't have to have one because our other one will probably show us the gender" and I was like "okay well maybe we will want to see other stuff, don't you want to see the baby's face and see him/her move around?" and he said "oh my god, NO! looking at some undeveloped face, that's scary!" Seriously, all I can think right now is "You freaking hillbilly!!!" Then I said about going to get our pregnancy pics around Christmas time and he was like "why don't we just wait until we have our kid?" I tried to explain to him that A LOT of people get pictures to remember their pregnancy and his response was of course "I've NEVER heard of anyone doing that?" ...uhhh how many pregnant people have you been around?! -NONE! He is really getting on my nerves with all his snide comments. Last night when I told him I felt the baby kick three times in a row, he was like "the baby is like -this- big, how can you feel that already?!".. urgh.. so frickin irritated.

    DH was pretty skeptical during our first pregnancy.  Could you read a pregnancy book with your DH?  We started reading one of my books each week before going to bed.  IMO, it really helped DH understand what I was going through and realize that I wasn't absolutely nuts.

    Tell him when he starts growing a human, has a uterus the size of a basketball, pees 50 times a day and has back pain that never goes away he can start having an opinion about things like that. Until then...tell him to shove it and be supportive for once. BUT, I will tell you, you CAN clean up dog poo, not kitty litter (has toxins), you CAN eat lunch meat as long as it has been cooked before, like the pre packaged kind, and I have a soda everyday. You are limited to 200 MG daily, one can of soda as 35 MG. Don't drive yourself crazy with the rules, enjoy your pregnancy, just be careful and have things in moderation.

    I don't buy that we are just born knowing more about being pregnant. If you are using that line with your DH, I can understand why he's brushing you off.

    MANY people, myself included, think 3d/4d u/s are freaky looking. I'm hardly a hillbilly. Just because he doesn't agree with you doesn't make him a hillbilly.
