stupid ? regarding infant ear piercing

Is there any negative to piercing ears early (other than obviously style/taste)?  Like, ears changing shape and not being even after time or something?

    I notice on Britt they dont seem to be as centered as they should be as she got older.

    For me, no way! My mum had my ears done at a super young age and they are the only holes that do not act up and give me problems. I say go for it if YOU and J want. Eff everyone else :o)

    LOL, well I am still trying to talk J into it.  He is the one worried about her choking on an earring or something crazy.  LOL

    Choking on them?? Remember how HARD those piercing earings were to get off? They are on there like LOCK DOWN!!!

    all 3 of my girls never touched their earrings at all.  Hell I cant get Michelle's off with using some serious muscle

    Madelyn's are fine.  Just make sure you check the marks before they pierce them.  Hers would have been very crooked if I let them do it before i approved them!

    Michelle didnt get hers done until she was 14 months old....why?  Because at first DH was deadset against it.  Until we were in the mall doing some black friday shopping...after the 6th time somebody saying oh what handsome little boy dh whipped into piercing pagoda and got her ear done right then and there lmao

    M- Just tell him that they are less likey to get infected if you get them done now. As she gets older she will play with them increasing the chance of getting infected.

    Plus, tell him *I* think she would look SUPAH cute w/ them done Smile

    We had DD's done at 4 months at the pedi's office, and so far it's been fine. I had mine done at 3 months, and my mom said I did not have any trouble with them .

    My friend convinced me to do DD's at the mall when she was 3 months.  DH was golfing with his friends.  Afterwords we met the guys for lunch and one of his friends noticed first.  DH was mad that I maimed his daughter lol.  He quickly got over it and now likes it.  He was worried about them getting infected but they healed perfectly.  I got mine done in 1st grade and they were always infected.  I finally gave up and now my ears aren't pierced.  I don't know if doing it earlier makes them healthier but it seems like it.
