My midwife told me about an over-the-counter gender prediction test called INTELLIGENDER . . .
She's not endorsing it, but said she had a few patients who were trying it and then comparing the results to their 18-week ultra-sound.
Just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it was accurate?!?
(It's $34.95 -- just ordered one. Couldn't help it!)

Re: Has anyone tried "Intelligender"???
I haven't tried but the consensus on these boards is that they are a waste of $
check out the google results for previous threads on the bump discussing it

It, just like every gender predictor that's NOT an u/s, has a 50/50 chance of being correct. Don't waste your money. There is nothing in your urine that can tell you the sex of your baby.
They are starting a blood test that is supposed to be accurate and I've had a few friends who have had it done, and it was correct every time. But only time will tell if it is actually accurate 99% of the time.
I wish I was the one who invented this scam -- I'd be rich!
Of course it's accurate....50% of the time.
Our family blog
There are 100s of OWTs that are equally as accurate that you can overanalyze for free!
Now you've piqued my curiosity...
wonders if the makers of Intelligender are a publicly traded company........

We tried it for laughs and giggles.. But the results came back wrong!!
It said we were having a Boy but we are having a Little Girl..
..
I did it at 10 weeks and it said boy, and it was confirmed at 16 and 18 weeks!
Only the girls of the bump seem to think this is only 50/50. I wouldn't trust it 100% of course (as the instructions say don't go painting the room pink or blue), but it gives impatient people like me a lean one way or another.
Based on what I've read:
It's supposedly based on the pH levels in your urine and the premise that pH levels help decide the outcome of the baby's gender.
Your pH levels at the time of the test may or may not be the same as they were when you conceived.
This MIGHT account for the fact that the company claims 80% or whatever accuracy.
DH and I didn't try one.. we just waited out the anatomy ultrasound.
Same here - just for fun and won't find out until Oct. 15th if it is correct! Did not base anything on it except laughs and more conjecture! It said boy, and the box does say it's 82% effective in the public (90% in the lab). If you have already bought it - have fun!!
