how long did it take?

Hi ladies,

I am new to the board & lurking as we're *almost* ready to TTC... I know what a lot of statistics say, but I have been talking to friends and would rather hear from "real" people... how long did it take you to get pregnant after you started trying?

Just curious- thanks for any feedback!

It took us 9 months to get pregnant and I was on the depo shot from Jan 06 to Oct 08 (that's when it ran out) and I got my BFP July 16th, 2009

3weeks from start to ovulation on the 13th of august.Bfp around the 1st of sept. almost 7 weeks along. good luck. P.S. look around for preseed to help in ttc. It makes the internal enviroment better for conception.

I went off the pill for one month prior to trying (used other methods of protection) and had a totally normal cycle. The second month off the pill and the first month of actually trying, we got pregnant right away.

I thought it would take me a long time since I had been on the pill for 6 years and had heard that it takes 3+ months to even get a normal cycle back. Apparently not the case...

We tried for 11 cycles on our own and got nothing. We did three IUIs and got PG, but them m/c'd. We got PG again on our 4th IUI. So, a total of 15 cycles.

It took us 13 months. We had to finally see a fertiity specialist and get test...and tests...and more tests. Finally got some regular cycles with Provera and Clomid and Bam pregnant second cycle witht eh fertility meds. Good luck to you...dont get discouraged if it doesnt happen on your first try. I would jsut take this as a opp. to really learn your body.

It took us 8 months to get pg the first time. We m/c that baby at 18 weeks. I started charting after that, and we got pg the 2nd cycle. So, in reality it took us 14 months to get pg with a sticky baby.

This next time it took us 5 months, but we m/c again. Got pg 2nd cycle after that...so it actually took 8 months to get pg with this baby.
