Levi makes me shudder... But that's a personal one for me and if you guys like it or named your child that then no offense to you... I just don't like it.
And I'm also against naming your children Twilight names. Again no offense lol.
I think every parent needs to think about their baby names and remember that this child will grow up into an adult and it's not going to help if they have then name "Rainbow" or "Sunshine".
What Amy said about spellings. Our names aren't traditional, but if you're a big football fan you would recognize that our children are named after Walter Payton and Tom Landry.

I didn't even pick up on the football stuff, but totally see it now. My DH would love that! I always think of my boy Peyton (Payton) when I see that name:)
I'm with you guys, I really am not fond of strange spellings.
I actually saw a sticker on a car that was someones initials... mNe... which means her initials are MEN!!! LOL.. I hope she married into that one and her parents didn't do that to her.

I'm with you on initails. We were going to name ours Samuel Tristan until I realized his initials would be STD. So we threw out the T middle names.

LMAO.
My parents were considering Pamela Marie as a name when I was born... until they realized that my initials would have been PMS. Then they went with Lydia Marie instead.
Also.. as far as names I'm not a big fan of alternate spellings either.

There is a girl at my niece's school named Emmaleigh. I shudder every time I hear it. A girl at work named her daughter Bayleigh and has told people she is naming her son who is due next month Aadyn. I hate the unique spellings.

I know a girl who spelled her DDs name this way. Wonder if it is the same person?? Very odd!!
Yeah not into unique spellings at all....poor kids have to spend their life correcting the spelling of their name.
Before we found out we were having a girl we were considering a boys name that started with D...well our last name first initial is M so we knew we had to avoid any middle names that started with A. My DH's aunt's initials are MAM...it cracks me up every time

Oh! My little brother graduated with a girl named...
wait for it...
wait for it...
Constance Wood. Harsh.
Poor Girl...her parents must have had a weird sense of humor or absolutely no clue!
Another thing I never understood is why people who have last names of like johnson, alexander, etc will name their kids like john and alex. My brother played football in college with this kid named Alex Alexander. Um why do that?
Do any of you ever pay attention to all the football players names? Some of them are really bad. Like having the last name Booty or Cooter. I really dont think I could marry a guy with a last name like that. I know it's not their fault, but it's still bad.
"Nevaeh" is terrible! Zackrey sounds like a redneck that doesn't know how to spell..Let me start thinking-working with children, I know that I have some great ones!!

One of my friend's sisters works at a spa in Green Bay. She had to do a gift certificate for a customer. The receipient's name was Lauren.....Nipple! I hope that's her maiden name b/c I would never marry into that one.
I like different spellings, though. Not way far out there spellings, but DH and I both have alternate spellings and it hasn't bothered us.
My cousin named her daughter Tapainga. Seriously. If it had been a boy, she was going to name him Crimson Payne (last name Robinson). Her sister named her daughters Autumn and September (I'm not a fan of naming your child after a month, day, or season.) Or weather for that matter...I've known Stormy, Storm, Rain...I just don't get it. I have also known sisters, Memory and Patience...a little boy named Brix...twins Kelly Greene and Hunter Greene.

oh and I went to HS w/a girl named Rainbow Madonna. aawful.
also my friend is naming her child Bronx - she actually loved the name when Ashley Simpson named her 1st little boy that. ugh. DH said if that's how it's going, we'll name ours Opelika - he's totally kidding.
I like traditional, old fashioned names for the most part. I think about the person as an adult and if the name is only cute as a child, they are only a child for so long - so give them a name that works for a lifetime!!!

Hehehe really? Jessica Booty... Nope. Jessica Cooter... Nope.
I am so lucky that my FI has a normal sounding last name. Even my current/maiden name isn't so bad once you learn how to pronounce it.
Constance Wood....tsk tsk.
I like different spellings, though. Not way far out there spellings, but DH and I both have alternate spellings and it hasn't bothered us.

Wow. That's all I can say.
At my brother's med school graduation, a girl was named....
Juwana Blackmon....
seriously
My brother is actually really good friends with her and says at least she can have a sense of humor about it.
and that's why DH LOVES the name Peyton. LOL

Sorry that's that pregnancy brain kicking in!
