Hello Shamrock Sweeties!! This is a check-in for moms with a due date in the month of March 2010. If you would like to be added, please post your bump name, real name, age and EDD.

Also, if you need anything changed, please post your EDD along with your new info so that it's easier to find your name on the list (it is hard to find some of you to update!).

Check-ins will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 8am CST. Feel free to check-in any time that day. Give us a general update on your progress and anything else you want to add! We will have a question of the day as well. There will also be a link to the check-in posted sometime after 4pm CST on M, W, and F.

***The main check-in will now be posted on the 2^nd tri board. A link to the posting will be on the 1^st tri board until all members of the group cross over.

***There will be no check-in posted on Monday, September 7^th due to the Labor Day holiday!

I did consider it but when I started reading up on it I realized I just wouldn't be able to do it and my mom who will be babysitting every day would pretty much refuse, so we won't be. But I love the idea and more power to the people who do!

We're considering it. There's a diaper service in our area that seems like it will cost about the same as disposables (although we'd need to buy our own wraps in addition) we're talking about trying it out and see how it goes. I was surprised DH seemed up for trying it.

QOTD: FI had mention cloth diapers but I'm not exactly on board with this idea. Mainly because he half-azz does laundry now and I plan to go back to work and having laundry that is not necessary added to my list of chores does not sound good at all. So as of now I will be using disposable but I might check into cloth diapers.

I know my mom used cloth diapers for all three of her kids, but I don't think it's something I'm going to do. Disposables have come a long way since then... More waste but a lot easier, especially if I decide to go back to work!

No... I plan to go back to work and will not have time or patience to wash poopy diapers all day:( No thank you! However my mom did use cloth on me for awhile b/c I had allergies to regular diapers--awww, thanks mom:)

I plan on using cloth diapers. Disposables just create so much waste and most of them have horrible chemicals in them. Plus, it costs much less to do with one child than disposables - and the savings are even greater if you plan to use them with multiple children. I'll probably use a flushable liner so that I don't have to do any scraping.

Plus, the cloth diapers these days are so easy to use and so cute!

QOTD: I was considering cloth diapering on the 'insistence' of my mother. You know it takes 500 years for a diaper to decompose in a landfill? But, we were at babies r us last week and found flush able diapers. They advertise that the wet ones can just be thrown in your compost pile. I'm not a huge conservation nut, I actually don't think about this much at all, but I feel this is a really awesome idea. They are a mix between disposable and cloth. They still require a waterproof diaper cover, but you don't have to clean the diapers so much more convenient as we are always on the go. If anyone is interested these are called Gdiapers

Hello Everyone! I haven't made any decisions yet about cloth vs. disposable. I'd like to try both - using the cloth ones while at home, and using the disposables when we're out. It all depends on the cost effectiveness and getting a diaper service. I don't plan on washing the dirty diapers myself! Surprise

Yes, we are absolutely doing cloth. They have so many cute ones now! The women that will be watching the kid while we are at work even said that she doesn't have a problem with it, and so we won't have to use disposables while at daycare - like we would have to if we sent the kid to a regular center.

Our best friends also do cloth diapers with their 18month old girl, and especially love the one-size pocket diapers; their favorites are fuzzybuns. They are so much better for the environment, save so much money, and keep all those nasty chemicals away from the skin. Cloth 100%!
