  I went to both my junior and senior proms.  DH didn't go to either of his and has no regrets.

  I went to 2.  Our prom was only for seniors, but I got to go when I was a junior b/c I dated a senior.  They were both lame-o and too $$$, and we left after only having been there 30mins both times.  If I had it to do over, I'd have skipped it.  If my kids want to skip too that's fine by me.
