How much is your 4 month old eating?

I know I shouldn't be complaining and can't believe I am saying this about my 3 lbs preemies but they are such piggies!

They take 40 oz a day sometimes more! Deosnt' that seem like a lot?? I even tried giving them their cereal twice a day but it doesn't seem to make a difference. When will this insatiable hunger end?! Will it get better once the start fruits and veggies? They used to eat every 4 hourse but somehow we got back to eating every 3. I feel like I am feeding all day long again.

We are going through the same thing w/ DS. He's 2 1/2 and usually takes about 4 - 4 1/2 oz. every 2-3 hours. But lately, he's been crazy, just took SEVEN oz, Wow!

DD will be 4 months old next week and right now she's eating 6 oz every 3 hours so she probably gets around 36 oz a day but I think she's getting ready to start eating more (she sucks down her bottles at daycare) so she will be up around 40 probably by next week. It doesn't seem too unreasonable! Unless my DD is a hungry monkey too!

Juliette is eating 30 oz. a day. She usually get 3 - 6 oz. bottles and then a mini feed of 4 oz at around 5pm. Then for the night time she gets an 8 oz. bottle with rice cereal (i know, i know, no flames please...this works for us). I just started giving her sweet potatoes in the afternoon between her lunch time and evening bottle, but that only started 2 days ago and so far she is doing well. She seems content. But every baby is different, so if they are hungry then just continue doing what you are doing. My pedi told me that you can not put a baby on a diet just give them what makes them happy, if they are not spitting it up, it's fine.

My guys eat 6.5 every 3-4 hrs (more lke 3) and then they get and 8 oz bottle before bed. They total about 30-35 ish oz a day. I dont mind feeding them every three hours during the day if it means I get to sleep at night.

no idea on ounces but my LOs still eat every 2-3 hours (they're FAST now though, maybe 5 min per feeding.)
