do GD patients always go early?

i'm already scheduled for an induction at 39 weeks due to fast labors (and my hospital being 40 minutes away...without traffic!)

will i have to go even earlier bc of the GD??

Re: do GD patients always go early?

  • My OB told me to expect it.  I had DS almost 2 weeks early and she said to expect DD at least that early, if not earlier, because of the GD.

I am not sure if it is a steadfast guideline though.

ETA:  I forgot to put that with DS I did not have GD.  I was borderline but not enough to be diagnosed so that is why I think she thinks that I will go even earlier with DD.

  • 39 weeks is the latest my Dr. will let me go with GD.

Hopefully I won't have to go any sooner.

  • Based off my current numbers & ultrasound measurements, my OB is comfortable letting me go to 41 weeks naturally.

  • I've been told literally five different stories.

I am almost 40 weeks and still pregnant, with a baby who is measuring around 10 pounds right now.

    I hate doctors.

My OB just confirmed this for me yesterday. I'm still allowed to go to 41.5 weeks if nothing changes. Not that I expect to have that kind of luck... but a girl can dream, right?

  • This!

I even asked to make sure because I'm on insulin.
