We moved DD into her big girl room a couple of weeks ago (I was pg at the time) and we moved her because she was ready not necessarily because we needed the room yet although that did help the decision.
Not I have a room set up as a nursery tanting me.... I'm debating what to do. We will try again but it will be after the 3 month wait, so we're talking another year at least with that room empty. I'm not sure if I should take apart the crib and quasi convert it into something, Its still all decorated and everything, im alternating between in the pia factor of changing the room and the thought that that room is going to start bugging me.
Thoughts?

We just bought a house this week (had already picked out which room was the nursery though, of course, fortunately no furnishings yet).
It's by far the second biggest bedroom and it makes sense that we should put our guest room furniture in there until we're preg. again but I simply cannot do that. Our plan is to put in new carpet and primer the walls along with the rest of the rooms and then just close the door.
For us it seems like the least painful thing to do. We don't NEED the space and being practical, eventually it will be used as a nursery. Others might find it healing to take things down... maybe a form of closure... but for me the least painful move is to simply get the room cleaned up and then close the door.
We never got around to setting up a full nursery but the few things I had I took down. For me, it was just too painful having anything along those lines even though we too didn't need the room. I'd go with your gut on this one. If you think it will be a great symbol of hope then I'd leave it, but if you think it will torment you, I'd take it down. If you do go that route, I'd suggest maybe getting dh and some of his friends to take care of it, because it would probably by easier for them to deal with than if you try to be involved.
GL and big hugs!
i was in the same situation and we are leaving the nursery as is. i have faith we'll have another baby and until we know otherwise it will stay ready to go for the next addition.
we're waiting on our genetic testing results which takes 4-8wks.
In our case, it was just me and DH (no other kids yet) when we lost our first baby. We didn't have another need for that room and it's purpose from the time we moved into the house was for it to be a child's room. We put the furniture and all our other baby items in the room. We didn't set anything up and shoved it all to one side so that it didn't "look" like a nursery. I didn't want to set it up for the baby that died or for the baby that would one day come. I wanted to start fresh when the time came. We closed the door and never went in the room.
You may just want to "un" decorate and close off the room for awhile; if you don't need it for something else.
I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully you'll get to use the room in the near future.
