What is the best advice you've been given so far about being a mom?
All of the older moms/grandmas in my life have told me over and over to just "be" with LO while they are babies - just sit with them and be with them. I was talking to several women this weekend and they all said, "Yeah, my house was clean, but who cares about that now? I wish I would have spent more time with my babies."
I think I naturally put off chores for more fun things like hanging out with baby, but when they tell me this, I feel a little less guilty about it ![]()
So, what is the best advice you've been given?

DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
same as you re: chores/housework. My house was messy for the first 8 or so months after K was born, but I got to cuddle with her all day long. Now that she's so independent my house is all clean again, but I'd give anything to cuddle with her like we used to.
Totally....and along the same sentiment, that just when you get used to a new situation, then something completely different pops up and everything changes all over again!
ITA - my view is very different now.
