sippy cup ?

When did you start LO on these?  I know this gets asked alot, sorry!

    Our pedi suggested it at DS's 6 month apt. He told us that it is easier if LO learns to drink water or juice from a sippy cup and not in a bottle. It made sense to us so that is what we did. Now DS loves his sippy cup and gets really excited when he sees it, like it is a treat.

    I think we started around 6 months. We just offer it at breakfast and dinner with his meal. he loves it. He usually brings it up to his mouth and chews on it and then drinks a sip or 2 and then flings it around and gets water everywhere. lol
