Looking for advice from those who BF

I'm only in my 2nd tri right now, so I've got awhile 
But once LO is born I will be going back to work full time. I plan to BF which of course will mean pumping. I know I'll need a pretty good one so I'll have to use it A LOT but I don't want to spend a fortune either. I was just wondering if any of you could make some good reccomedations?

I was thinking of posting thre as well, but I was hoping for answers from those who need to use it in the workplace. I would assume that could make a difference it whether it is a good value or not. But what do I know yet?! Not much, I can tell you that...lol
I've had two different PIS (Medela) for my babies and have had good experiences with both. I had one in the backpack style carrier with DD and loved that much more than the one in the messenger-style carrier that I have now for DS. The backpack is much lighter and more discreet.
I have been able to keep up my supply now for 9 months. You'll hear that you need a hospital grade pump in order to keep up your supply if you work FT, but that has not been my experience. It has more to do with consistency, drinking water, and keeping your stress down.
I pumped for close to 8 months with my Medela Pump-in-Style Advanced. And I pumped 3 times a day, five days a week with it. I have nothing but good things to say about my pump.
It was quiet, easy to use, and worked great. I had to replace the valves and membranes a few times, but that's it - I never had any problems or issues with it.
It cost around $300, I think. But it was worth every penny.
WIC offers a free pump to mothers who are going back to work full time and can prove that they are working full time. That is where i got my pump and where my BFF got hers and they work great they are very portable and come with a carry bag and a cooler bag with six bottles with ice backs that fit right in so you can store your milk in there and travel and it keeps it good for 6 to 8 hours i believe! ditto- I had the PISA messenger bag. it was fine - as far as pumps go.
Get the steam bags for easier cleaning. Buy another set of bottle and pumpers just in case you can get to cleaning the one set right away - gives you a bit of flexibility.

Didn't buy the shoulder bag, so it cost $150. I just put it in the free diaper bag I got from the hospital. It is the same pump as the Lansinoh, but BPA free. I pump into the Medela 5-ounce bottles (they fit the Ameda pump) because the Ameda bottles are only 4 ounces.

I pump 3x a day 5 days a week, and 1x per day on the weekends. The pump works great.
The biggest benefit to the Ameda to me is that it is a closed system so you don't have to clean any tubing or anything. The only thing that you clean is the flanges and the bottles. Since you have to clean it every night, this helps tremendously for saving time. I use the Medela wipes to wipe it down between pumps at work and the Medela steam storage bags to sterilize the flanges and the Medela bottles I pump into.

Ditto. I pumped 9 months with my PISA, 3 times a day, five days a week. Never had any problems. I had the tote, and folks who didn't know it was a pump didn't know it was a pump, KWIM?
i have the medela pisa too and i really like the design. everything fits right in the bag so it's easy to lug around the office.
my sister got one when her first child was born and is still using the same pump 7 years and 3 more children later! they are built to last.
if you're really strapped for cash, you can usually find them on craigslist. i'd just get new tubing and bottles, etc.
I have the backpack Pump In Style Medela and love it. I put it on my back and my arms are free to carry DS, the diaper bag, etc. which would not be the case with the tote version. So glad I went with the backpack. GL!
I too have the medela freestyle- it works perfectly for me b/c of the rechargeable battery (no plug or batteries needed) and the tiny pump size compared to other pumps. I also like the hands free straps, they work with any nursing bra.

Just wanted to chime in and say that even shelling out $300 for a pump will probably be less expensive than formula feeding.
I have the PISA and have used it since October. Got it at BRU with 15% off coupon. I have the messenger bag, because looking at the two I thought the backpack looked kinda nerdy/unprofessional. In retrospect I wish I would have done the backpack. The messenger bag gets a little heavy on public transportation and I have a hard time carrying that along with my laptop. I think if I had the backpack the weight would be easier to handle on my back.
If you don't have to worry about public transportation or walking a few blocks to work, maybe it's no big deal.
I also have a Medela Harmony manual pump which I bought in the beginnig because I didn't want to open the PISA then decide BFing wasn't for us and be out $300. I love having the option of just bringing the manual pump when I'm going somewhere for just a few hours without DD, or if we go on vacation with DD and we get to go out to dinner alone while she has a bottle.
