If you are just joining, please introduce yourself.
I created a group calendar for us to add all of our appts, due dates and any fun events we want to share with one another (birthdays, anniversaries, etc). All you need to do is click the add/edit button at the bottom and select the date/time of your event, make sure you include your bump screenname, what the event is and then make your background a different color to separate appts on the same day.
Here is the calendar:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO: KaliBali
QOTD: Are you planning to buy a new car in preparation for the additional family member?
We actually bought a new car with baby #1, but not until a few months after I gave birth and we realized it just wasn't going to cut it. I drove a Toyota Corolla and DH was driving a Honda Civic...the space just wasn't enough. So we bought a Honda CRV...which I LOVE. I highly recommend it if anyone needs a bigger car!
And my NT scan went awesome this morning! My baby was stubborn and the tech had trouble getting the measurements she needed. We even had to take a break and let baby rest, in hopes that he/she moved to a better position to get the measurements. Finally, she got them and then I had an appt with my OB and then blood work to go along with the scan. The scan looks great according to my dr, they just have to wait for the bloodwork results to make the official results.
Re: **February Love Bugs - Tuesday Check-in**
QOTD: Are you planning to buy a new car in preparation for the additional family member?
Yes. We have to, DH's car is 10 years old, and mine is a 2-door sports coupe.
QOTD:
We "upgraded" from my little Cavalier to a Toyota Sienna last year. Yep, I'm a minivan mom now.
Of course, we have 3 boys already (two over 5 feet tall) so they didn't fit in the little cars, and I couldn't haul their friends around now.
We have plenty of room for the baby seat.

Oh, I almost forgot...
YAY on the good NT scan! Woot!
Happy Birthday KaliBali!

hey girls! I haven't been doing too many check-ins, but happened to catch this one, sooo...
QOTD: No, I have a 2 year old Toyota Rav4 that I love and I think will be a great baby car. DH has a Jeep which is fine too, but we always use mine when we're together anyway. If anyone is buying a new one I highly recommend the Rav4!
DD february 2010 | DS october 2011
*please excuse my typos, bumping from my iphone*
Both of our cars are fairly new, mine especially. We will have to purchase new tires before winter, but other than that DH is pretty good on maintenancing our cars.
I had my 12 week appointment today, my OB twisted off the polyp that has been causing me to bleed since I was 8 weeks. Heard the heartbeat again, he said the little bean was a little hyper this morning.
DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.
I bought a new car with my son, my other was a 2 door sports car also.
This time I am driving a Pontiac GTO and will be buying an Escalade. There is no way to put an infant seat in the GTO! Im sad but we are going to be keeping the other cars we already have anyway.
It's so great to hear about your NT scan!! At ours last week, baby was also soo wiggly, that it was difficult to get the measurement!
QOTD: Yes, we'll definitely be getting a new car! Right now, we drive an Acura RSX (hubby's"bachelor" car - 2 door). We'll be trading it in for a 4 door sedan. We live in a city where we only need one car (and we only own one parking spot), so it will have to be a car we both agree on. So far, I want a Volvo, and DH wants another Acura. We'll see who wins.
QOTD: MH and I purchased a new vehicle about 3 weeks before our BFP. We purchased an Acura RDX and love it. It will be perfect for our family.
Yay, Breezie, on your NT scan! Glad the LO finally decided to cooperate. Hopefully we'll see some photos soon!
Right now I drive a Corvette and DH drives a Mercedes sedan... so we'll be trading cars as I get further into the pregnancy because we'd love to keep both cars.
QOTD: Are you planning to buy a new car in preparation for the additional family member?
Nope
QOTD: Are you planning to buy a new car in preparation for the additional family member?
No, we are not planning on buying a new car. I actually got a 2009 Mercury Mariner in November. I love it. It is a smaller SUV, but it will be just the 3 of us so it should work out well.
Note: Sorry I have been so absent lately. I had an upper respiratory infection that put me out of commission most of last week and the weekend. I am finally coming out of it. Good Luck to all with appointments today. What can I say, I missed the bump and our Love Bug group
We will be needing a new car--we live in the city and are probably moving to a bigger place (an 850 sq ft 1BR condo isn't going to fit a baby!) in the suburbs. In the city we could share our one car, but we will need a 2nd for suburb living!
Congrats breezie on a great NT scan!
Dh and I bought two brand new ford Edge's in March, not expecting to get preggo as quick as we did, but Im glad we bought them when we did becasue now it's one less thing for us to worry about. I drove a little focus before and had no idea how to pack children into a little car. I love my new car.
Buy an EDGE! Dh will only buy American and he did all his research before had about all the SUV models. The edge is so nice and roomy. At least go test drive one. They are great cars.
We got a Honda CR-V in December and we LOVE it! (Isn't it awesome, Breezie?!). We got it *sort of* in preparation for having a baby, but mostly because both of our cars were getting old and we needed a new one.
GL to everyone with NT scans and appts today!
Also, sorry I've been pretty MIA the past 2 weeks or so... work has just been out of control. Hope everyone is feeling well, and I hope I get to spend a little more time on here before I move to 2nd tri on Saturday.
Glad to hear you like the Rav4!! That is the main one we are considering buying for me!
QOTD: Are you planning to buy a new car in preparation for the additional family member?
No, I drive a 4-door mid-sized sedan and it will work just fine
QOTD: Nope we won't be buying a new car unless ours dies. We have a 1995 Toyota Camry that my grandfather did major upgrading/maintenance on before giving it to us.
However, my husband wants a motorcycle when he comes back from deployment. I told him he can have a scooter/moped thing first to drive to and from work because I want to make sure he won't kill him self. That way I won't be stranded at the house with the baby all the time.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD

QOTD: Are you planning to buy a new car in preparation for the additional family member?
Yes, I bought a new car just over 2 months ago. I bought an SUV. I must say however that I didn't have a car for many years, as I was working abroad and did not need one for the few weeks a year I was at home (I would just rent one). I knew I would need to buy one when I left my job in April to persue IVF.... I chose an SUV as we were planning ahead and had high hopes that we would be pg soon.
Breezie I'm glad to hear your scan went so good!
We aren't going to buy new cars. I have a 2 year old Sante Fe and my DH has a 5 year old CRV so we're set with lots of space for car seats!
Yeppers! I am getting a 2005 Jetta Wagon today! I had a 1999 Honda Accord. It was a great car, it needed about 2 grand in repairs last week, so we decided to sell it and upgrade a little.
Nope, not currently. I have a Jeep Liberty (that is paid off!), so I should be good to roll.
Hubs drives a Jeep Wrangler 2-dr. It's his baby, and he insists he'll be able to deal with putting a carseat in the back. I'm willing to let him try. I know he'll let me know if it doesn't end up working out for him.
So how long did your NT Scan take you? I've taken off an hour for the appt... do you think I need a longer time off if I have a stubborn baby as well?
QOTD: No, no new car right now. I have a corolla that will be baby car...

my currently-reading shelf:
We're a one car family right now- I drive our Honda Fit to work everyday and DH rides his bike to school. We're moving across the country in July of next year so we'll probably buy a new car when we're in our new location so we can each have one! Our car is little but surprisingly spacious so we should be good to go!
Congrats on the good NT scan Breezie! Happy Birthday KaliBali! Welcome Cami!
