I am sure no one really knows me but I post and comment off and on. When I was 10 I was being stupid and sat on the back of a friends German Shepard (like a horse) and he bit me in the face. I got 21 stitches. What a stupid kid I was!!!
I am a sixth generation Californian and my kids are 7th generation. My family came here from Ireland in the 1830's for the Alaskan gold rush and ended up homesteading in central CA. The "homestead post" is still standing on our ranch.
In college I worked as a character at Disney..lol.
OMG, one of my friends worked as Goofy for a while
Random fact about me...I have an unhealthy obsession with storage containers. I have HUGE tupperware containers...full of other containers...just in case I need them. And I am NOT an organized person

i broke my left front tooth when i was 13 playing a game at summer (church) camp called the kissing game. i had a root canal and multiple oral surgeries and different types of fake teeth in its spot, until i got my permanent implant on the day of senior prom when i was 18. due to this i have a titanium screw in the front of my mouth that looks badass_ on x-rays
i can't whistle and i broke my growth plate in my right ankle because i tripped down one bleacher step. now my right leg is shorter than my left by at least a half inch

I broke my right front tooth when I was a baby. My walker tipped over. I broke my right front tooth in kindergarten and then broke the replacement again in 3rd playing musical chairs. I guess it wasn't in the cards for me to have a full set of front teeth.
I was hit by a car, at 22. Causing me to have knee surgery. It was for a good cause though, the car was about to back over 2 kids so I stepped in the way thinking he would see me. He took off.

before I go to bed, the pillows all have to be in the same order facing the same way. I also have to cut tags off everything.....god forbid they touch me!
I cut off 3 of my toes on my right foot with the spokes of my bike (never ride a bike in flip flops) when I was six but they were able to sew them back on.
I was a competive (sp?) fighter in Tae Kwon Do in high school.
I've been to every state in the US except N. and S. Dakota
In college I worked as a character at Disney..lol.
which one?
I was mainly Pluto and Eeyore, but also played Rafiki and Brer Fox (random and a bit scary). I had a fun time but it was freaking hot... THAT is a good way to lose weight, maybe I should go get a second job again. hmmmm
i was on a bridge at summer camp coming back from waterskiing (the bridge went over a road so we didn't have to cross it) and i was hopping down the steps- (the bridge was also covered)- i thought it would be a good idea to teach my fellow camp friends how to do a double axle off the fourth step of the bridge- jumped too high- cracked my head on the top beam- which propelled me backwards- and fell eight feet and cracked the back of my head on the last cement step at the bottom- mercyflight to the hospital. the end.
needless to say i kept the jumps on the ice after that.

I lost my tooth when I was a kid like I was supposed to, but it never grew back. ?(the one on the bottom beside the four in the front.) THEN...
After I gave birth to my son, part of that tooth grew back but the whole thing didn't come up. ?When I showed my dentist, he said..."Maybe you should just have more babies until the entire tooth is up." ?LOL

You can't get anymore Texan than me! I am an 8th generation Texas & DS is a 9th. Also, Jim Bowie (died at the Alamo) is an uncle of mine & I am also related to Santa Anna (thru Jim Bowie). My uncle is James K Polk who annexed Texas!

I am allergic to "Old English" 40 oz beers.I tried one at age 13 with my friends in the woods behind my house.I broke out in a rash that looked like severe acne for like 3-4 days!
Oh yea, me and Dh went to a "clothing optional" resort and had the best time ever.I'm usually not that bold either.
I got attacked by a dog and it almost bit my nose off. I literally had to have it glued back together and the cartilage is still floating around in there.
When I was little I had a really bad nightmare and my mom told me it was because I was sleeping on the "bad dream" side. From that day on I had to sleep on the same side of the pillow each night. I recently stopped doing this.
I can list the states alphabetically forwards and backwards. I have had a bird poop on my head 3 times in my life. It supposed to be lucky but it's just disgusting. I also broke my nose in eighth grade right before a field trip to Washington DC. I had big bangs, glasses, braces and a bandage on my nose for all of the pictures. Yup, I was that hawt.
Re: Get to know your fellow nesties
I've broken my left arm/wrist three times and no longer have that 'bump' on my wrist.
ETA: I've also done the Polar Plunge and eaten bear meat. That just seems odd when I type it out, haha.
I am a Francophile and I'm into historical cookery.
I have had multiple surgeries and have very few "extra" parts (ie: I have no tonsils, adenoids, appendix, wisdom teeth, or gall bladder).
And a more fun one: I've traveled completely around the world
Not really that interesting but....

I went to Bible College because I wanted to be a preacher.
