It's beautiful! I'm laughing at how many similar ideas I have that you've done!(for our boy nursery)
We were also going to do glass candy jars filled with antique alpha blocks, dominos, etc. so it's nice to see what it will look like! And the photography is wonderful, good job!

Wow, your nursery is nothing short of spectacular! I LOVE the vintage mirror redone to a all purpose holder, could you please tell me how you did it? Also I am totally in love with your rag quilt! BEAUTIFUL!!

Thank you!
The frame is from Ikea. I just took out the glass and then wrapped the cardboard insert it came with with some batting and fabric and taped it on the back side. I layed out the ribbon in the pattern I wanted and then taped it down in areas so that it would stay put when I inserted the brads. I used scrapbooking brads with letters on them and poked them through at each meeting of the ribbons. I flattened out the tabs of the brads to hold in place and then just inserted the whole thing in the frame. Very easy with a lot of impact!

Absolutely beautiful! I'm also in love with your dress in your siggy! Where on earth did you get that gorgeous thing?
The "dress" in my siggy is just organza fabric sort of wrapped and tucked. There was a couple layers that had a v-neck hole cut out that went from back to front and then then a braided piece that wrapped around my waste. There were other long flowing pieces just pinned on. Nothing was hemmed, it look like CRAP up close...all raggedy but from afar it was awesome. My BFF is a wedding photographer and it was her invention.

I don't mind at all if you use the idea. That mirror is AWESOME! I looked for an antique mirror but I couldn't find one for as cheap as the IKEA one so I settled for it even though it's plastic. Will you email me a photo when you are done? info @ jenniferbishopdesign dot com. I'm due next week and probably won't have time to check the boards to see when you post.

Definitely will do! I started following your blog also, you have so many amazing ideas and inspirations! I emailed the seller and I am hoping and praying that it hasnt been sold, it was just listed yesterday!
Your nursery is absolutely amazing. You must have had soooo much fun putting it all together. And I, too, want to steal the memory board idea, we just had a garage sale and a friend left this old mirror behind that has a frame ideal for fixing up!!!! I think it even had a cute matching shelf to go below it!
You are an inspiration, thanks so much. I could ask you a million questions seeing as you are a designer.....my biggest is what colours to use and how many different colours of wood/furniture you can go with. Our crib is beechwood, the wood on the glider is a bit darker and the dresser wood is darker still. I am ok with painting the dresser though and thought I might go with a cream. Oh, the possibilities.
You could have used that dress in your wedding shot to do belly pictures!!
Good luck with your labour and delivery....let us know how it all goes.
Married my BEST FRIEND on December 1, 2007.
Started TTC in March 2008.
Found out we were expecting our first child in October 2008 - but had a m/c in December 2008 - resulting in a d&e.
Met with a RE in May 2009 and set a plan - but conceived unexpectedly on our own!
Our precious little Sophia was born on February 9, 2010!
Love it! Where did you get the stuffed black and white dog with the patch over its eye? Our boxer looks like this and I have been looking for something similiar to the stuffed animal you have. Thanks!

The dog is from Pottery Barn Kids and it's on clearance!!! It's actually a puzzle so all the parts come apart. It's black on one side and white on the other.
