My OB has referred me to an Endo for my GD. I go for the first time on Wed. I have PCOS and strong family history of type II Diabetes so I'm not real surprised with the dx. But from what I've read it seems most people are treated through their OB and a nutritionist. Is it odd that I'm going to see an Endo?
Re: GD - anyone see an endochrinologist?
I don't think it's odd at all. I'm seeing an endo once a month (I fax her my blood sugars every week), as well as all my regular appointments with my OB. I just think that every OB is different. Some feel comfortable handling their GD patients while others like to refer them to an endo.
