PIP What should I do with my hair?

It's so blah, and I'm just tired of it. Plus, I have so much, it's so thick and all I'm doing is wearing it in a pony tail. I want to go get it cut today. What do you think I should have done?

?FWIW, my current style is just the below haircut grown out, but I don't think that I want to go quite that short again, but I'm not sure.

Re: PIP What should I do with my hair?

  • Find a really good hairstylist, and let them do whatever they want. My best haircuts have been like that. I've found when I go in with specific ideas in mind, they don't look as good on me as they do other people!

  • What about something like this?

Sideswept bangs are really easy to care for and really easy to pull back from your face, but they can also look cute still if you wear a ponytail a lot.

I've had my hair like that before and it was one of my favorite styles - it can also be straightened too.

  • Maybe a side part with side swept bangs and some long face framing layers in the front and a couple long layers in the back.
  • I like how it looks in the 2nd pic. I'd get that cut, only maybe a little longer, collarbone length. With the pieces in the very front cut to a point. Sort of like what Gwyneth Paltrow has now.

Ditto this, sort of. I go in, tell the hairdresser what my lifestyle is like (I'm extremely low maintenance), and let them do what they think would work best for me. I've found an excellent hairdresser here. She always gives me a great haircut.
