Please don't flame me if this is flame-worthy. ?It is a family tradition for us to go see the fireworks and ?really really want to go. ?The pediatrician recommended that we not go at all when i called to ask her if cotton balls are okay. ?I'm not worried about him being fussy... I am just worried about hurting his little ears. ?We would be close and it would be kinda loud. ?What would you do. ?Anybody going to see fireworks with a baby this young.?
Re: Taking a two month old to fireworks...
We are not taking our 4 month old because of the loud noises. Pedi said we could if we got those earphone things that block noise, but said if we could skip to just do that.
I would listen to your pedi. Its one year, and being a parent means making some sacrifices.
We took DS to an Astros baseball game last Friday. We try to make it to every home game, so we should have been prepared, but we forgot during summer they do fireworks. We covered his ears but they really weren't as loud as I expected. He loved watching them!!
I probably would have skipped out early if I would have remembered, but I don't think we did any damage.
ETA: Listen to the doctor though. He has your baby's best interest in mind
