If DS had multigrain cereal containing wheat and was fine with it, is wheat germ now okay to feed him? I'm not sure if the germ part of the grain is just as easy to digest.
I'm not positive, but you could try something else with wheat (crackers, bread) and just see how it goes. ?Just make sure you don't introduce any other foods around the same time and know that it could take a few times for an allergy to appear.
DD has had wheat (had it before I knew I shouldn't give it to her yet!) and has had no reaction to it - bread, crackers, cereal - all sorts of varities of it.?
I just wanted to say that our pedi said it's ok to introduce around 7 months. I thought it was interesting that he said that introducing it as a food is much safer and less likely to cause any problems than letting your LO be in a wheat field/around wheat - I guess the body is able to adjust better when it takes a small amount through a feeding.
Anyway, so I would give it to LO and not introduce any other new foods for 4 days or so and see how it goes.
