best bottle for reducing spit up???

Right now we are using the ventaire.  I think it is time to move him up in nipples but ventaire does not have a stage 2, it goes slow to fast.  We tried the evenflo comfi bottles but the nipple is shaped weird and DS couldn't get a good latch on it.  I was looking at the Dr Browns but how do you clean that tube thing in the middle?  Thanks!

  • We use Dr. Brown's. The tube in the middle can just be rinsed out--it comes out of the bottle.  They also come with a little brush if you need it--but I've never needed it. We just wash them in the silverware rack in the dishwasher.

  • We also use Dr. Brown's.  They come with a little brush to clean out the tube and the "vent."  BTW, they are also the perfect size to clean out the little medicine syringes that come with DD's Zantac.  It is no more work to clean than the ventairs.
  • We use Dr. Browns too.  Clean up is not as bad as I thought it would be.  Like pp said, there is a brush that comes with the bottle.  DD has reflux and spits up a lot.  I think the spit up is a little bit better with these bottles.  It's really hard to tell.  Gas issues are definitely better.  This was the 5th type of bottle, and it's been, by far, the best one for DD.  I wish I had saved my money and started with them.

  • We tried Dr. Brown's but I wasnt a big fan of them, I use the playtex drop ins and they just started making medium flow for those, and I love how easy they are for cleaning....and DS had a lot of reflux at first with other bottles but it is a lot better with these.
