Almond milk

Has anyone tried this? An organic version was on sale at king kullen and someone in my mommy group said her son loves the stuff! Haven't tried it yet because i haven't introduced nuts yet to DS. Do almonds cause the same allergic concern as peanuts? Just thought it might be a nice alternative to milk and so much dairy...

    I would think it might be the same as nuts...but I am just guessing.  My dd loves soy milk if you are looking for an alternative.

    I use it for cereal and smoothies, but I haven't given it to my daughter yet.

    This is what DD drinks instead of milk and she loves it. ?I would just treat it like any new food and watch for a reaction. ?Peanuts are legumes and in a different category than tree nuts so you can be allergic to one but not the other (a friend of mine is allergic to peanuts but not other nuts).
