I am pretty sure Kate would say she is ok considering she was just photographed spanking Lexi for whistling while she was on the phone or something trivial.

But again, that probably was not a "training". It was probably done out of impatience and anger. It doesn't make it right, but I don't see Kate spending the time to "train" her kids.

I'm a kate love, but you don't think those kids are trained? Remember that episode where Jon took the boys golfin and they wouldn't get their hands dirty because they didn't want mom mad at them? sounds like they're trained to me!

I actually read the book the Duggar's wrote and they believe in a type of "training." I don't think they spank their kids but they play games where they tell the kid to go touch the piano and then sit on a certain tile on the floor. To practice obedience. I read that part aloud to dh at Barnes and Noble and he (& I) thought that was BSC!

Yeah, the Duggars are def. into "training" but it has to be different... you can tell from the way they talk to and about the kids. They have been on TV for years and if there was some weird kind of "obedience training" we'd know by now... with so many cameras around there's no way they could hide it.

I do believe they changed/relaxed their ways though... you can tell how the older kids are more obedient and better behaved while the little ones run wild and sure, LO will be wilder but I remember the very first specials about them years ago and those who were little then were better behaved.

Anyway, I think they would also be upset by "Hi Mommy"?
