I'm always interested to know what the other ladies on the bump do for a living!

I am a support coordinator. I coordinate services for individuals who are physically and/or mentally disabled through the state. I like it lots, but I would rather be a stay at home mom when the baby arrives, but that won't happen!

What do you do?

I am an Audiologist, I am no longer practicing in a clinic, but I work for Siemens Medical as a trainer, so basically I travel around the country training other audiologists on our hearing aids. I also conduct some research for Beta studies, and will conduct some clinical trials as well. I really like it. The cool thing is that I can do a lot of my work from home, so when my 32 week travel deadline comes, I will just compile the research and write the powerpoints and stuff.

I'm a preschool teacher. I teach the transitional kindergarten class, which is the group doing an extra year of Pre-K before going to kindergarten. Reasons usually are related to age and social readiness. Although I am a teacher, I don't have the summer off (boo hoo!) I'm working at my school's camp program through this summer.

I'm a Parent/Provider Service Coordinator. I help parents look for daycare and inform them about what to look for. I also help DayCare providers maintain their training requirements by providing trainings for them all year round.

I am a documentary photographer. I do SOME wedding/portrait stuff but not much.

I also tattoo but am not associated with a shop right now, so I have a room set up for it (which will not exist anymore as soon as we start the nursery!)

I am also in the process of setting up a non-profit art school for kids out here in our hick town.

Plus I'm a SAHM with my 3 step daughters who we have permanent sole custody of!

I am a Great Escapes Coordinator for the Starlight Children's Foundation, which is a non-profit org. for kids with serious or chronic illnesses. I plan monthly events for kids and their families to attend, free of charge, so they can be a family, meet other families/kids/siblings, and do something they may not normally be able to plan/afford/think of to take their mind of their medical illness. I work from home, which will be great when bebe comes.

My family own's a very well known funeral home, and i work for them. I never thought I would work there (I got my BA in Communications with a Film Concentration-thinking I would move to NYC or LA) but I met the love of my life and stayed at home and started working with the family. I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel like it is a form of Ministry and I LOVE it.
