Wedding anniversary present ideas needed...

in 3rd Trimester
DH and I will be celebrating five years of marriage this month and frankly, I have no idea what to give him. Typically, I would have liked to do something big since it's a milestone anniversary. But, with a LO on the way that's not possible. Any thoughts? And I don't want to do anything pregnancy/father related since Father's Day is this month too.

    There's a good chance that DD will be born on our 3rd wedding anniversary... I asked DH last night if a baby is an appropriate gift... I'm also using baby as my Mom's birthday present (mid June)... milking this for all its worth!  Cool

    For the past two years my go-to place has been Hallmark for our anniversary. This year I purchased a 8"high x 3 1/2' long black wooden sign that in cream print says "For Ever and Always, No Matter What". Last year I bought a set of mugs that say "I do" on one and "I do too" on the other.

    MK3 I'm curious - what on earth did you do regarding purchases and shopping expenditures before the Bump?

    How did you cope - how do you cope when you aren't near a computer?

    I think we need to work on developing your confidence in your own opinions. I would be most especially offended if my husband posted on one of his forums for ideas on what to get me for an anniversary and then followed the advice of strangers he doesn't know or that don't know me for that matter and bought my gift that way.

    The idea is not to get him a cool present but rather an expression of YOUR feelings for him or something to mark that day that is unique and special to the two of you.?

    Traditionally 5th anniversary is wood...for a wedding gift I made a wooden box with a shadow box in the lid for my husband and I put sentimental things in the lid...first wishbone, cotton bloom he picked first time i saw cotton, first sanddollar we found together...stuff like that. You could just get him a really cool wooden box and fill it with pictures and little mementos of your first 5 years of marriage. wouldn't be really expensive and would have tons of meaning. DH loved his box when I gave it to him.
