you have to be dilated to do this. it is where they separate the bag of waters from the wall of the cervix. ive heard it can be painful but not always. and that is can lead to breaking your water and getting labor moving.
I had it done last friday and it didn't do anything for me. It hurt when she did it though and caused a little bit of bleeding. My doctor said it doesn't always work but it was worth a try I guess.
To me it felt like an agressive internal. It didn't work to get labor started for me last week. Maybe if I have done again today it might do something, we shall see!
