Okay, I don't find out what I'm having until Saturday but if my LO is a girl, I want purple for her room. I can't stand pink overload, though in some cases it can be cute. Anyway... can someone please explain to me why all the purple stuff I've found is so tacky? Or coated in butterflies? I don't do butterflies, my SIL has them tattooed all over her and I don't like her! GRRRRR!!!

Re: Why does purple bedding have to suck?
this was our prediciment... we ended up doing lilac and leaf sheets and bed skirt from The Company Store Kids.... we got gingham and solid sheets and two skirts one gingham one solid....
Oooh and they have free shipping this week... figures lol
Mine is a boy and I couldn't stand blue overload; so we chose green. If it was going to be a girl, purple would have been my choice.
Do you do dragonflies? If so, go to overstock.com and search for : Dragonfly Dreams 12-piece Purple Crib Bedding Set
*Googling...*
Edit: OMG! Love the polka-dot sheets! Thanks!!
We just found out we're having another girl and I really did not want pink bedding/accents this time! I spent hours searching for mostly purple/lavender bedding yesterday and this is the best I found, and really like! Links next to bedding images. HTH!

I feel your pain!! I've always wanted to do a purple and green nursery if I have a girl and cannot find anything that I love
EVERYTHING is pink!! Why do they assume that all women want pink for girls?
Here are some that are "maybes" for me - you've probably already seen them though! Click on the picture for the link to the website.
Called my husband over to look since I LOVE both of those. He takes one look and goes "But we already have a crib." Boys...
I had a hard time with purple bedding too. This is what we wound up with from baby supermall but it has butterflys on it.

I was going to suggest this one too. I agree if we are having a girl we def do NOT want all pinks and purples. Honestly I'd like to paint just green and yellow and then accent with the "boy/girl" color so we can switch that out if the next one is different lol. Plus it won't be overload.
