XP: Choosing a Pediatrician - WWYD?

I just found out that my own pediatrician (that I saw until age 18) is still working and has a practice! She is awesome! I love her!I had a list of 4 or 5 peds that I was planning on calling and interviewing; however, now, I just want this Dr!If you were in my shoes, and this Dr accepts our insurance and was accepting new patients....would you bother interviewing anyone else?

    No. I tried going to several different pediatricians and ended up using my family physician who I knew I liked. I wish I would have just gone there from the beginning.

    My only concern would be how long they plan on having their practice open. You would just have to switch pedi's eventually if they are retiring soon.

    if you feel comfortable with this dr., they accept your insurance, they are up to date with the medical knowledge and it's convenient for you then I say go for it!
