Personal ? for those that had a tear...

I had a 2nd degree tear with about 3-4 stiches. It's only been 2 weeks but it really doesn't look pretty down there. Will I always have a noticeable scar or over time does it go back to normal?

    You looked?!? I have 25 stiches and I don't know if I'll ever be able to look down there again.

    i had 3 stitches and haven't looked yet.... hopefully it'll look the same or is that wishful thinking?

    Yeah I looked down there somewhere around 1-2 weeks post partum and was horrified at what I saw. Give it a few more weeks and it will look normal again.

    I actually had a "skin tag" from poor stitching.  My doc agreed to basically cut it off and I made the appointment for early June.  Lo and behold, it somehow disappeared.  Things will never be quite the same down there, but it's fairly close to normal.

    It looked kinda scary at 2.5/3 weeks.

    I haven't looked since, but it all "feels" normal down there (when I wash). And DH ain't complainin'
