I've been a really bad friend and haven't seen a friend of mine that recently had her baby. I want to get her a gift but not sure what to get at this point. I'm thinking maybe clothes, diapers, ??
A gift card to Target, Wal-mart, BRU or any store that sells wipes, diapers, diaper pail bag refills or boobfeeding supplies. That would be awesome. Otherwise, ask her what size diapers her babe is in... That matters. She could have also stocked up on one size and after she finishes that stockpile, her baby may have moved up to the next step. GL! ?
ARound that time a friend of mine picked up Panera and came over just to visit. That was really nice. I also suggest bigger-size clothes, spa certificate, or gift cards. Also toys--not many people give toys, in my opinion, and around 2 months is when the toys start being more fun.
I would come over, bring lunch and just offer to watch the baby for an hour or two - so she can take a nap and a long shower, run an errand, etc, That would be really nice. Everybody comes over when they are newborns, but you still need help when they're a little older, but you're not so desperate.
