Maybe not really EF: Tea drinkers?

DH and I are big tea drinkers.  We prefer a good, robust Irish Breakfast tea and have been ordering Barry's by the case from Amazon.  They are out of it right now and I'm looking for a good, inexpensive option that I can buy locally.  We've tried Tetly's British Blend but it just doesn't cut it.

Anyone have any good suggestions?  I'm trying to avoid driving all over creation looking for a hearty tea and I just can't stomach paying an arm and a leg for the cost of imported Irish tea at a local British shop.  But...I need my morning tea!!!  :)

  • I'm not by any means a tea expert, but I've been drinking Trader Joe's Irish Breakfast Tea every morning for a few weeks and really loving it! Maybe in a pinch it would do the job??

  • That makes me sad, I couldn't live without Barry's gold blend. ?Luckily, I live in Boston so I can get it at my local corner store. ?Want me to send you a box? ?:-)

Oh, MizMac, you are the best!  :)

I've just mad a good find and think I can get it at a good price on the Barry's USA site.  Curious about what a box runs in Boston?

Also, the Trader Joe's idea is a good one.  May give that a try.

  • Have you checked for an Irish tea at adagio.com?  Someone on here mentioned this site a while ago, and it's my tea loving dream and my wallet's nightmare all wrapped up into one happy website.

  • Have you tried Red Rose? It's usually easy to get a hold of, and I think it's tasty. It's not Irish Breakfast, but it's pretty robust.
