Work invites

Question...I recently got married in November and invited my department, about 8 or so girls, from work to it. Do I invite the same people to the shower? I am a little conflicted...what do you ladies think?

I say, use your best judgement. I invited the people in my department, the few people that I eat lunch with & like one or two other people that I talk to daily. I did have my mom send the invites to their homes rather than taking them to work. I figure this way, it's more of a personal thing than a work thing.?

It's just a matter of whether you want them there or not. Did you invite them to your bridal shower? I'd go more off of that type of list than the list you used for your wedding.

I'm debating whether or not to invite my 3 closest girlfriends from work to my family/friends shower b/c there MIGHT be a work shower and I don't want them to feel the need to attend both. If they're friends, invite them. If they're really more like co-workers, leave them off the list. Whatever you want to do!

Your wedding has nothing to do w/ your baby! Invite who you WANT to invite and who you consider a friend. DOn't invite them just because you invited them to your wedding.

The two ladies that are organizing my work baby shower got an invite to my family one. (I would have invited a few more people however my sister got a banquet hall and space is kind of limited)

Anyone else who wants to come to a shower can come to the work one I guess...I'm not crazy about showers anyways...

Thanks for you advice! It is tricky since we are a small department and I am close with some and talk about baby stuff all the time with some. And then there are a couple who I dont.

I invited all of my department to my wedding and wedding shower (12 I think) but I am not inviting them to my baby shower. It's just smaller and they didn't make the cut. Oh well!
