Playtex drop in questions

I plan to breastfeed my son (who will be born next month) but want to also pump at times and use the Playtex drop in system which I want to purchase this weekend.  What do you recommend I purchase?  I notice their are 4 oz and 8 oz bottles and drop ins and also what is the difference betweent the regular drop in liners and the formed ones?

All help is appreciated!! Thanks!

I would love to hear the response also.  We have 2 4oz bottles.  I'm not sure if this has helped DD gas issue but she is not gulping air like she was with the avent bottles.

  • I formula feed but if you are making a long term investment, don't get too many of the 4 oz ones...my son is 3 weeks and already eating 4 oz...I'd get the bigger ones!
  • Honestly I did not use the 4 oz ones very long. Get more 8 ounce ones. Also I found the regular drop in liners not as accurate as the formed ones. I definitely preferred the formed ones overt the regular liners.

    Hope this helps.

We just switched to the 8 ozs. this week.  DS only took 4 oz. at a time and ate more at night when I was with him to feed.  We had 4 of the 4 oz. size and felt that worked well.  He normally took 2 or 3 bottles while I was at work.  We have 6 of the 8 ozs. we are starting to use.
